Team lunches? What are they really for?
If there’s one thing the Dash10 guys are known for, it’d probably be the love for food. We have a rather obsessive relationship with food.
There’s always a birthday to celebrate with
Maybe it’s true what they say about food being the fuel for our creativity because we managed to hit all our goals for the second quarter of the year.
And in celebration of that milestone, the Service Delivery and Research and Development Team recently went out for a team lunch at
Or maybe it was because of how good their food tastes.
The Internal Services Team opted to go somewhere nearer to the office. They chose Swiss Deli which is just a hop and a skip away from where we work.
The Internal Services Team is composed of many departments including the Human Resources, IT, Relationship Management Services, Business Performance, Accounting, Support and Digital Consulting divisions. Because of the diversity of departments, roles and responsibilities, the team lunch proved to be a great bonding experience for everyone. This is also due to the Internal Services team being a more dynamic group in terms of team additions on a regular basis.
Swiss Deli is known for their pastries, cheese and pasta.
Now why did we have separate team lunches? Well, we used to be able to fit both Service Department and Internal Services team in one place. Having grown bigger as a company, we find it harder to do that nowadays. Vikings, next time?
Team lunches are meant to be informal opportunities and settings for team unity reinforcement, boosting morale, identifying strengths and opportunities and recognizing individual contributions. We managed to do all that and more while, you guessed it, while we ate more food!
I could go on and on about what happened but as they say, pictures are worth a thousand words. Here are some pics!
