IT Support Specialist

Are you an experienced IT professional?
  • Key Responsibilities:

        • Provide technical support to clients and employees via phone, email, or in-person.
        • Resolve all logged issues and respond to queries within targeted service levels. 
        • Respond to outages and server notifications and internal support calls and messages and be on-call to handle these outside of working hours.
        • Provide assistance to setup and manage hosting plans, access hosting systems
        • Setup and manage internal IT systems, for instance installing new computers, setup of workstations, creation of accounts in online services and local servers etc.   
        • Continually manage, update and improve internal IT systems 
        • IT Inventory Tracking & Asset Management 
        • Provide assistance to the Technical support team when needed by responding to client emails, calls or chats
        • Perform other tasks and projects as required such as updating the company website, purchasing and shipping company provided equipment, etc.

    Key Attributes:

        • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in IT and technical support
        • Technical Proficiency – Knowledge and experience with IT systems, including Windows operating system installation and maintenance, hardware installation and modification, network configuration and hardware, cloud systems such as google apps.
        • Problem-Solving Skills and resourcefulness – The ability to identify and solve technical problems quickly and efficiently.
        • Excellent communication skills – Must be able to convey technical information to non-technical users and be able to explain solutions clearly and patiently.
        • Excellent customer service skills – Must have a strong focus on providing outstanding customer service. Must be empathetic, patient, and responsive to users’ needs and concerns.
        • High attention to detail to ensure accurate troubleshooting and prevent future issues
        • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
        • Strong work ethic and can maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
        • Ability to adapt and cope well with change, must be willing to learn new technologies and solutions to stay up-to-date
        • Must be knowledgeable about cybersecurity best practices 
        • Excellent time management skills to ensure multiple requests are prioritized and addressed in a timely manner
        • Can take instruction and constructive criticism
        • Fast learner and strongly self motivated.
        • Proactive, positive, polite, willing and adaptable.
