Job Title: CAD Draftsperson & Estimator

To bolster and enhance the company’s sales and revenue, contribute to the support of management, sales managers, and wholesale customers by delivering technical CAD drawings and services for estimating and quoting.

The creation of accurate and timely drawings and quotes (max 2 day turnaround) to support sales targets and production requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Receiving  and prioritising CAD drawing requests 
• Creating simple site-specific CAD drawings to be used in the estimation/quotation and installation of safety surfacing – turned around within 2 working days.
• Creating product CAD drawings and maintaining product drawing register as updated from time to time.
• Filing and communicating drawings with the Sales Managers
• Maintaining Site Drawing Register with set details specific to drawing requests.
• Receiving and prioritisng quotation requests from sales managers (often linked to CAD drawing requests)
• Quotes to be costed in ERP system in accordance with company processes, job files created and relevant paperwork to be saved to job files and communicated to Sales Managers – turned around within 2 working days. 
• Keeping  the status of quoted jobs up to date in ERP system.
• Any necessary communication with Sales Managers and interfacing with ERP. 
• Ensuring  database in GTree is kept up to date in accordance with procedures. 
• Perform other adhoc tasks as needed.

Key Attributes:

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience in CAD detailing and estimating/ quoting
• Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite of Products
• The ability to read and understand simple Architectural, Structural and Engineering drawings  including landscape technical drawings, tender documentation, and specifications. 
• Excellent time management and planning abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• An excellent team player with the ability to work unsupervised

Formal qualifications required: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or equivalent
