Job Title: QA Contractor

Duration of Employment: 3-4 months

Salary Range: P40k-70k

Working hours: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm 

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

Are you passionate about delivering high-quality applications? We’re looking for a QA Contractor to ensure the seamless performance of our Trade/Home mobile and web applications. In this role, you’ll conduct backend testing, verify API functionality, and execute test plans to identify and resolve issues. You’ll collaborate closely with developers to enhance the user experience and maintain top-tier software quality. Key Responsibilities:

Testing of Home/Trade UI updates 

• Ensuring that all UI improvements and tweaks adhere to the established design system and guidelines. 
• Verifying that UI changes are implemented consistently across all screens, with a focus on design conformance, visual quality, and responsiveness. 
• Testing UI elements for proper functionality, ensuring that interactions, animations, and transitions work seamlessly and match the intended user experience. 
• Conducting visual regression testing to ensure no unintended changes or issues have been introduced during the UI updates. 

App Store Readiness 

• Testing and verifying pre-launch copy changes, error handling, and other non-functional tasks required before app submission. 
• Ensuring any outstanding issues, such as final tweaks to text or minor adjustments, are implemented. 
• Verifying that app behavior and user flows are polished through regression testing before submission to the app store. 
• Testing analytics and support functionality is working correct before launch

Testing of Mission Control Web App

• Verifying the correct display of data and proper user access controls within the platform. ● Testing new support functionality 
• Verifying the functionality to display home users linked to specific panels, ensuring accurate user-panel associations and proper data retrieval. 
• Ensuring that all support features, including updates and user management, are integrated and tested for performance, security, and reliability. 

Testing of Trade Web App 

• Ensuring the functionality and performance of the trade web app, including user experience, data accuracy, and error handling. 
• Testing fundamental functionality like a site list, account management, and navigation. 
• Office Admin functionality 
• Testing back-office functionality for managing panel statuses and events, ensuring that administrative users can accurately view, update, and track status changes or events in the system.
• Ensuring that fault data is properly logged, categorized, and reported and that any necessary notifications or alerts are functioning correctly. 
• Documentation Functionality 
• Testing the generation and management of safety documentation for electricians, ensuring the documentation is properly created, formatted, and accessible. 
• Verifying that safety documentation complies with relevant standards, including accuracy of data input and output, and that it can be easily customized, downloaded, or shared as required. 

Home User Onboarding by Trade User 

• Testing the functionality that allows a trade user to input the home user’s details (name, contact information, etc.) and send an invitation to the Home app. 
• Ensuring that the invitation process works smoothly, including validation of input data and proper communication of the invitation to the home user. 
• Verifying that the home user receives the invitation and can successfully onboard into the Home app with the correct access permissions and setup. 
• Testing error handling in case of invalid data or failed invitation attempts. 

 Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in QA testing for mobile and web applications
• Strong understanding of manual testing, API testing, and backend verification
• Experience with test plan development, bug reporting, and regression testing
• Familiarity with UI/UX testing, ensuring design consistency and functionality
• Experience testing iOS and Android apps for App Store readiness
• Knowledge of web application testing, including data validation and access controls
• Experience with office admin and documentation testing
• Ability to perform visual regression testing to prevent unintended UI changes
• Experience using QA tools
• Familiarity with analytics testing and support functionality verification
• Basic knowledge of error handling and debugging
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies
• Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues effectively
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with development teams
• Strong communication skills to report findings and suggest improvements
• Proactive mindset with a focus on user experience and system reliability
